I've seen teams argue that "any" is fine for speed. In your personal experience, does sticking to strict rules actually pay off when the pressure is on to deliver?

I used to think it was a bottleneck until I had to refactor a massive project without it. I’ve personally seen TypeScript save days of debugging by catching those "hidden" errors that usually only pop up after a site is live. For me, it’s the only way to build something complex at Stubbs without the whole thing turning into a mess as soon as the team grows.
